The designers by combining their skills with the styles of Staunton and
the old French Dieppe chess sets have created one of the more attractive
sets.
This regal chess set features important characters from the era of King
Richard I of England who reigned from 1189 to 1199. The pieces are
richly decorated in silver and gold (decorated set only) which contrasts
with the simple elegance of the Staunton style bases.
